Goals for Fall, 2018

I have many goals, some for fall, some for the future. I'll share a few of them here. One goal of mine for fall of 2018 is to finish revising my long-awaited novel! (Not long-awaited by anyone but me, I guess.) Yes, I've written a novel, and it is about 300 pages now. I've had it edited, and proofread, and I must fix some mistakes in order or meaning that the proofreader has found. Some of the fixes are quite challenging, and I have to think how to change some things. After I fix these problems I will submit them to my editor again, and hope (fingers crossed) that it will be published thereafter. I'll share the novel name and the publishing company when this stage has been crossed.

Another goal is to have at least one more academic paper published this fall. I already have one for this year, but I would like at least one more to add to my list. We only have to have one published per year, but I like to challenge more.

Another goal is to take a trip on my motorcycle and go solo camping somewhere, or at least take a day trip during this fall. My wife will be worried because she is afraid I might die, but I really want to challenge it. Will you do it with me? Come on! It would be really fun to go to Aso or Shimabara by big bike, no?

And I would like to try some new food this fall! As you know from my previous post, one thing that I love (and most people, too, I think) is fooooood! I love food and eating, so it's always my goal to try new food and to munch on the food I love. This includes: roast chicken, steak, mashed potatoes, seafood, burgers, tonkatsu, ramen, soba, fried rice, tofu, and more.

Well, that's it for my goals for this fall. You have goals, too, I'm sure. There's only one thing we can do - try to accomplish what we want to do in life! Not what we SHOULD do, but what we WANT to do. Don't lose sight of this difference. Cheers.
